I’m always jealous of people who spend their summers in Europe. It just feels like the place to be in warm weather … have a great time wherever you head next!

Ha Ha great photo nonetheless. I am not one for traditional weddings or for marriage itself necessarily, (unless there is a good reason!) but this title and image brought a smile to my face.
I know.. its such hard work, aint it??

I remember one time when I finally got to my hotel…I was so tired I thought I was in heaven….when they made up the bed they insisted on short-sheeting…so I had to re-make it. One day I was sick, and had to go to a pharmacy…when I got back they had re-made the bed…so I had to tear it up….i was sick as a dog. We never did agree on that cultural thing with the sheets… very funny… 🙂

I HATE it when they make beds like that. What in the world do they think??? I don’t like it when I put the trash can where I want it, and they move it back to where they think it should sit.
LikeLike
yes. The thing with the sheets used to drive me nuts, the first thing I had to do was pull the bed apart and re-make it. Staying for weeks, one would think they would get it and leave the bed alone.

Ha…one of my last trips we were stopped by the army (yes) several times, frightful weapons in hand, and I invariably had to fumble in my money belt or fanny pack for my papers and passport. The driver was always nervous and asked me to please keep my stuff handy. My innocent background prevented any fear of those check-point guys. :-}

Checkpoint guys have always made me leary. You can’t trust a checkpoint guy. They think the worst of you before you even arrive!!!

Big guns, too. I always managed to have my papers and passport inside a money belt instead of where I could put my hand on them quickly. Drove the guides nuts. I guess my innocent old lady look can be effective…damn! I loved that type of “travel.”

Well how cool is that?!?! Love where you are traveling. We are right on schedule for Indonesia. In Darwin now after a successful sail through the Endeavor Strait and into the Indian Ocean. Even had some time to visit Kakadu and see the Jumping Crocodiles. Thanks for the tip Mr Badfish. Loved it.

I know…life is cool. Sometimes you just gotta go with what life throws at you. I love Kakadu. So glad you got there and that you saw the jumping crocs. Scary, eh? I hate crocs. No, I don’t hate animals, it’s just that crocs scare me. I respect the shit out of crocs, not hate them.
